I am a Saint Louis-based professional skilled in multiple mediums, including photography, graphic design, sound design, and video filming/editing. I found my love for the arts back in high school, and I was able to explore and grow my passions through my degree program at William Woods University. It was here that I learned my artistic inspiration stems through people and relationships; I had the opportunity to work as a Peer Educator, Community Advisor, and Orientation Leader, and through this I was able to use my interests to help others.
Peer Educators are a group of students tasked with implementing programming on challenging issues such as healthy sexual relationships, emotional and physical health, and alcohol, tobacco, and drug use. Students serving as Peer Educators will receive extensive training to improve their communication and facilitation skills.
Each hall is staffed with student personnel to assist with residential life concerns and community development. Community Advisors serve as liaisons between the university and student residents. CAs facilitate communication through various methods of floor and hall meetings, and provide stimuli for social and educational activities.
An Orientation Leader is a student staff member who provides leadership in the William Woods University Learning Community. Mentors lead freshmen orientation and through the beginning of the semester during the Connections class (a six-week program for new students). Each mentor will serve as a role model and help new students make the transition to college life.
As the Multimedia Designer at Carboline Global, I was able to work on multiple projects, including taking headshots for new employees, designing an employee cookbook, filming and editing a training video on how to use a new product, and designing the graphics (lanyard, name badge, etc.) for a conference.
